Guilty Crown Overall (Spoiler Free)

December 19, 2011 4 comments

Plot?:
On Christmas Eve, 2029, the unidentified “Apocalypse Virus” spreads and plunges Japan into a state of emergency in a chaos known as the “Lost Christmas” incident. An international organization known as the GHQ intervenes with martial law and restores order to Japan at the cost of its independence.
Ten years later in 2039, 17 year old, Shu Ouma, a socially awkward boy, high school student who keeps to himself in school, meets Inori Yuzuriha, the lead singer for Egoist, while visiting one of his favorite places on his way home from school. Shu is a big fan of Inori, a singer who has taken the Internet world by storm. However, he also discovers the other side of her, which is that she is a member of “Funeral Parlor”, a resistance group that aims to liberate Japan from the GHQ. Shu starts taking a part in the actions of “Funeral Parlor” and the “king’s mark” appears on his right hand. This “mark” bestows on him the power to reach inside another person’s body and extract and materialize a weapon from it.

Shu Ouma & Inori Yuzuriha

Opinion:
This anime has one of the best artwork I have seen in quite a while. The songs and soundtracks are very well composed. But the anime has no plot. Its a disjointed anime, so to say. There is a MAIN plot but it makes no sense combined.
So there is Shu Ouma, a boy who has NO confidence in himself.
Inori Yuzuriha, a girl who is in Funeral Parlor, who has pretty much no emotions but will soon enough, slowly develop thanks to the POWER OF LOVE!! (sarcam detected)
And Gai Tsutsugami, the Leader of Funeral Parlor, who sometimes, is a complete douche.
They are also quite a few scenes which remind of me of other anime’s, like Evangelion and Code Geass.
The only reason I’m watching is because of the artwork and supercell. Otherwise I would have dropped it. Yet, I still hope somewhere deep down that this anime would pick up. Letting the character development happen and making sense with the plot so its doesn’t seem added for the heck of it.

Actually..

December 16, 2011 4 comments

Actually, I’ll blog from now on but none of anime series except from Guilty Crown & Persona 4 The Animation (& Maybe Mirai Nikki), TILL Jan 2012 as mentioned.
So I may post games and manga instead of waiting for January. ^__^
I’ve started playing Fate/Extra so I will put up a review on that soon enough.
